Okay, as some of you may know, my SATA control on my mobo is totally fucked. SO, rather than buy a way over-priced and hit-or-miss performing SATA controller, I am going to just buy a new mobo.
Should I: Spend $124 and just get a sweet new board? or Spend $336 and get a sweet new board with a 64-bit CPU? Any opinions? |

That's true, unless you are running a 64bit OS and games that support 64bit, you aren't going to get a "real" performance boost. The processor in question is superior to the comparable 32bit version in that it has it's own memory controller and better cache usage, but none of that is utilizing the 64bit-ness.
I guess if I went that way it would just be so I have the capability when they release WinXP x64 and a game or two. |

When they release 64bit games you could buy an even more badass 64bit processor for the same amount of money.

Very true...I went ahead and just bought the 32bit motherboard. The good news is that it comes with the sweatshirt and cap as pictured. It's party time, homies!
