GameFly Alternatives - Console Games

This site did some reviews of the top game rental sites. They say GameLender is the best. 5 games out at a time for only $35 bucks a month! Plus they say they are lightning quick with the shipping. I hope they make with the XBox360 games soon.

Slayer Tactical Officer Posts: 869	Posted on Thu Oct 20, 2005 6:09 am So i'm thinking the best choice for East Coasters would be Gamerang if you care about speed of mailing. Their plan is 4 games for $35. But with GameLender you can have 5 games at once, who cares about shipping. I do.

Slayer Tactical Officer Posts: 869	Posted on Mon Nov 21, 2005 8:22 am So here's my report. Gamerang makes up for their multiple distribution centers by being slow as S H I T. I sent two games to NJ exactly a week ago and just now ONE of them is being taken off my queue list. (Took 1 week) If there is a Gamefly alternative, it would probably be Gamelender. Their only flaw is the long shipping time. Otherwise they are pretty quick. The thing I hate the most about Gamelender is they have no "Keep It" button. So this is strictly a rental service. As another test I signed up to GameFly on 11/17. Using the 2 games a month plan I put NFS: Most Wanted and Ridge Racer for Xbox360 on my list. THEY SENT THEM BOTH OUT ON THAT VERY DAY. I clicked "Keep It" for NFS: Most Wanted. They will most likely send me Perfect Dark Zero on 11/22. I'll let you know how fast NFS and Ridge Racer get here.

After that, I waited two more days for them to ship another game, and after they didn't, I cancelled. I am going to try the proven GameFly and hope that they are the most-popular for a reason. <img src="./images/forum/smilies/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
