Ahh, Civilization 4...they finally got it right. I have always been a Civilization fan, from the very first Civ, to Civ 2, then Alpha Centauri, and of course Civ 3. Somehow though, as good as all of those games and the improvements they brought were, it's like they have finally gotten it right. It's still turn-based, and I know that scares off a lot of people, but there is a lot more action in this one. It's 3D now and it looks amazing. The cities are easier to manage. The units can be upgraded with experience and the combat is more simplified. EVERY tech is now relevant to the progression, and you aren't forced into the same chain everytime just to advance through artificial time periods. Speaking of time, you can start a game in any time period you want. Multiplayer is finally included straight out of the box, and one cool multiplayer option (that I think we should try at work) is the ability to make your moves for your turn and then send it through email to the next player. They make their moves and send it back. Great time-killer at your own pace.
Anyway, summary: Awesome, you should try it, we should try it, fungasm for the whole family. <img src="./images/forum/smilies/icon_lol.gif" alt="" />

Turned based is kinda cool. I used to play Heroes of Might and Magic 2 online alot. I'll download it and try it. I also have CoD2 and Madden if you wanna play.
