I am getting a Gamecube. How does it look on a HDTV? Does it do HDTV resolutions? Basically I am getting it because I want to play Resident Evil 4 and have it look better than the PS2 version.
When I get one I will have 4 devices that use Component cables. My TV only has two Component inputs. Is there something I can buy so I dont have to keep switching cables?
Is there a solderless modchip for the PS2?

The First Edition GameCube has Component output and looks as good or better in 480p than the original Xbox. You will have to order the component cable from Nintendo which is currently on backorder until February. If you buy a new 2nd Edition GameCube this cable will do you no good because it doesn't have the output.
Walmart sells a $20 Component switch box that allows you to hook up 4 different component inputs for 1 output. There are more expensive boxes (like $100 at BestBuy) that do the same thing, but not any better. I have the one from Walmart and I have my GameCube, Xbox, and Xbox360 hooked up to it. The one negative is that it does not have optical connections for sound (if you even need it) but it DOES have a network jack.

I put in a URL for the Component Cable in the Nintendo store, but it was so long and complicated that it didn't work. I can get it to you if you have trouble finding it.
