Also this is why A Scanner Darkly is taking forever to come out. Over 30 seconds of footage that they are having trouble shooting.

I'll be the first to tell you that HD is far superior to DVD in picture quality, but the first page you linked to, Dave: If your DVD player puts out images as blurry as those on the page, it's time to buy a new DVD Player. Even on my big ass 65" nothing looks that bad.
